We advocate for you in every circumstance

In everyone’s life, there is a time when access to finance is critical to realising a greater goal. For most, this time comes when we set out to acquire a home or change the home in which we live. Ironically, at these very moments when we are focused on improving our lives, we are overwhelmed by the sometimes cryptic and complex requirements of those who provide the finance we require.

We are a borrowers’ advocate.

Understanding your situation, putting you first.
Home Loans - Advocate Financial - Potts Point, Sydney
Building Trust

Presently, there is a gulf of misunderstanding between lenders and their customers. We have made it our business to unravel the complexities of obtaining and reorganising finance by going beyond the limitations and concentrating on advocacy – for our clients. We’ve been doing this for over 20 years. Many of our clients have been with us since the beginning.

Life, unlike a banker’s spreadsheet, is full of nuance and variation. Business and personal relationships evolve. Families grow, mature and change. Illness or family responsibilities can result in a need to renew and revise financial arrangements we have in place. We advocate for you in every circumstance.

Advocate Financial Services has developed long-standing relationships based on trust and experience with financial planners, accountants, estate agents and solicitors. This knowledge we bring to you, completing our offer to ensure your finance requirements match the circumstances of your life.

Understanding your situation, putting you first.

Bank staff don’t often stay at the same branch and are restricted to offering loans from the one bank they work for. On the other hand, I have 20 years experience as a broker and offer continuity with my clients, which means I understand a client’s history which makes it much easier for clients to start the conversation from where we last left off.  It takes a number of years to build up a knowledge base and I have a depth of experience across a range of situations, for example, buying and refinancing company title apartments, blocks of apartments on one title, and factory premises.  And with 35 lenders on my panel I do the research and shopping around for you.

I do spend time understanding your circumstances and with that I can match a range of factors including lender product and policy, but also lender attitude – whether they are likely to be lender that will help you grow.

Lenders generally pay an upfront commission and a trailing commission on the amortising loan balance. This is how I get paid for my work. Typically you don’t pay me to use my services.  It’s only in particular circumstances, or for exceptionally complex loans, that I may need to charge for my expertise, but I will always discuss this with you and have your agreement before we proceed.
